I carted off my present to my daughter to the Post Office today.. a really beautiful vintage print of a Hawaiian Grass Hut and waterfalls.. that my next door neighbor painted.. I think she'll love it!

She's turned out to be a lovely young woman, but I miss the cute little kid!

As for my brother, we haven't always gotten along, but he depended on my mother a lot and now that she's gone I know it's the right thing to do to reach out to him - and he actually seems to appreciate it.

Watching that clip from 2012 takes me right back to how relieved I was when President Obama was re-elected. I was so afraid that all the predictiona bout Romney were going to be right. I cried tears of joy when the election was called in Barack's favor.

night until all the votes were counted.. same as in 2008. I think most of us have learned the hard way we can't count on anything until the final votes are in!

I was so grateful, too, 3catwoman3! Even Romney thought he was going to win.. thanks to Karl Rove.. ugh!
