Hawaiians jokingly refer to it as "the ninth island." A lot of Polynesians/Micronesians here. Maybe that has something to do with it? Or they just really like Samoa?

Many Samoans, even those that don't live in Samoa are members of the LDS church...so there is no doubt where their loyalty lies!
