less about the fact that you don't like babies or animals, more about the fact you felt a need to highlight that fact.

that do...just not to you.

Guess what, pretty much anything has importance to someone.

I'm sure there are things you find important that others do not.

That you felt you needed to open up this thread, read it, and then comment on how unimportant it is, says something about you.

(it's not a good thing)

found it odd and commented as such.

Difference is, if you started a thread on how much you hated cat videos, I'd probably not waste my time and everyone else's going into it.

food for thought, free of charge.

so you think the only time anyone ever comments on something is if they are bothered by it?

it was "inappropriate."

I said it was weird that he'd come into the thread just to make that comment, not necessarily that it was weird that he doesn't like cat or baby videos.

If I thought it was inappropriate I would have said so or alerted.
And it's really not that interesting. There is nothing in this world that everyone is into.

Kitties, puppies, or babies. I love them all, but they don't have this big impact on me, possibly because it's too two-dimensional and I need more sensory input.

probably the same brain effect as seeing them for real. Cuddling is a different thing, that produces different reactions in the brain. Physical touching has different effect that seeing.

The popularity of kitten, puppy, and baby videos, though, is a clear indication that they produce brain reactions that people find rewarding. If they did not, they wouldn't be so popular.

Not everyone reacts the same, though.

Kittens and babies, not so much for me. I could watch puppy videos all day. But I would still rather cuddle them. Since I rarely get an opportunity to cuddle though, videos are the next best thing.
