Republicans are saying that Democrats are trying to "re-litigate" the Mueller report?

"Re-litigate" is not the right word. It is meant to deceive.

The mere fact that Donald Trump and Bill Barr conspired to lie about what was in the report does not end the investigation. The report did not clear Trump of "collusion". Neither did it say that Donald Trump did not commit obstruction of justice. That is not what the report said.

Bill Barr had no right to lie about the report to the American people. Trump obstructed justice in plain sight. He did not have a second thought about whether it was legal or illegal. He felt threatened by the investigation. He never embraced the investigation. Why?

So the purpose of the Democrats is not to "re-litigate", but rather to honestly inform the people of this country about what is in the report? Their job is not to go along with the lies of Donald Trump and Bill Barr.

The investigation has never been "litigated".

They cannot win on the facts so they ALWAYS lie about the point of the story. When they talked about "Death Panels" during the ACA debate. They know it is bullshit but they also know that when you bring up the idea of the government having power over life and death, you scare people. They also know that Insurance Companies have the very same "Death Panels" when they use committees to deny or approve claims.

Since Nixon's time with the "silent majority" the Republicans have used language to frame the narrative. They do not have the numbers but they have the money and control of most of the airwaves so they use it to their full advantage.

I think that is why there is so much venom and attempts to smear Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez right now. She has been able to frame the narrative well against many of her opponents and it scares the hell out of the Republicans so she must be destroyed.

The WHOLE point of the Mueller Investigation and Report, like during Watergate, was to provide Congress with information to decide whether Trump committed crimes or not.

the evidence in the report has not been litigated yet. To 'litigate' means to legally test something, generally in a court of law, to determine some basic aspect of it, including but not limited to whether crimes have been committed and what redress might be applied.

Just saying "re-litigate" about the Mueller Report is a lie per se.

Their spin is that there already has been a long full investigation and a report on its conclusions issued, therefor the investigation is over and the results are in. They claim we wan to re-investigate what Mueller's team already went over because we don't like the Mueller Report conclusions, so now Democrats want to question all the same witnesses themselves in hopes of reaching a different conclusion. Blah blah.

Yes it's bullshit but in my opinion we are playing into their spin. If we initiate an impeachment inquiry that will clearly be moving forward based on the evidence already laid out for us, not "re-litigating" anything. It is taking the next logical step based on what Mueller already uncovered. And that nullifies that Republican talking point.
