finally started to move in that general direction after today's Hick's Hearing . Madam Speaker has had a tough week with Statements coming out of her Caucus. Congress woman Porter seems to wheel one heck of a lot of clout and she took out one the Retugs best in Orange County, and this appears to be the straw that breaks.

As Pelosi said in 2007 "I'm the Speaker of the House. I have to take into consideration something broader than the majority of the majority in the Democratic Caucus."

Which is why people who want impeachment proceedings to start should contact their own Members of Congress and stop shaking their fists at the Speaker and Chairman Nadler.

She's in the catbird seat now. She knows what she's doing and I'm with her.
There will be an impeachment hearing and it's coming soon.

I'm not sure why people think that the Speaker of the House is supposed to tell them (and, by definition, Trump and the Republicans) her strategy and telegraph every move in advance of making it - which kind of defeats the purpose of having a strategy.

If I were a cynical sort of person, I'd say that Speaker Pelosi is purposely slow-walking impeachment trying to build momentum and attract more public support for it. That could buck up House members who think they're vulnerable into thinking that the public will have their back as they go through the process, and will reward rather than punish Democrats for taking a stand against an outlaw administration.

But obviously, such subtle three-rail billiards shot strategy is too nuanced for the sophisticated voters of this day and age.

I, personally, don’t think holding a criminal president accountable should be based on polls or politics. I don’t care if 1% support impeachment, it’s the right thing to do.

Again, that said, I do trust Pelosi to eventually bring impeachment proceedings.

Congress stands..if you follow the link, you will see their reasoning for their positions...if you are so inclined. It isn't about the Speaker, so don't bother if you're just looking for some darts to throw
