Dad 'executed' daughter during 'petty argument' over baby gate: police

A father told police he “executed” his daughter during a “petty argument” over a baby gate in Renton, Wash.

Wendell Wilson, 68, is charged with first-degree murder and domestic violence assault in the death of his daughter, 38-year-old Lila Wilson.

Prosecutors claim Wilson shot his daughter six times, including twice in the head, several feet from Lila’s 1-year-old son, KCPQ reported.

Lila wanted to place a baby gate at the kitchen entrance, but Wilson disagreed. As the argument escalated and Lila threatened to move out of the apartment, Wilson got his gun “as a dominance thing," and ended up killing her.

Wilson waived his Miranda’s rights and admitted to the shooting, the TV station reported.

“I went and got my gun and I shot her,” Wilson reportedly told investigators.

During further questioning at the Renton Police Department, Wilson again admitted guilt, saying, “I just murdered my daughter!”

Wilson’s ex-wife, who is also Lila’s adoptive mother, said she got a call from him at 4:30 p.m. saying he was going to kill Lila. The phone then went silent. He called her back soon after and said, “I shot her, I killed her.”
