I think absolute bedlam, while undesirable in general, created (and predictably so) by a Trump decision ought to be given the highest profile possible so even ignorant generally-oblivious fence-sitters can be made aware of his absolute lunacy and incompetence. will be airing "A Capitol Fourth". The major networks as well as cable CNN, MSNBC, and Faux have re-runs and fill-in programming for the evening.

The less coverage, the better.

According to PBS, "America’s Independence Day celebration, 'A Capitol Fourth,' is broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, before a concert audience of hundreds of thousands, millions more at home, and our troops watching around the world on the American Forces Network." The event will also be live-streamed on YouTube and Facebook.

In its description, advice and directions to the event, the website Tripsavvy says "tickets are not required" and my favorite slam, "There are other events on the National Mall for the 4th of July that you can check out as well."
