never ever expected to win. He enjoyed the role of heckler. Now, he sees it as very profitable. It's wrong and disgusting. The American democracy has some serious loopholes that need to be patched. Of course, his herd of creepy followers could give a damn.

It isn't okay, but since Trump is giving them all the horrible things they've been wanting for years, they will give him a pass. There must come a day when the lot of them are held to account for this, because as unbelievable as it sounds, Trump is not the worst thing they can come up with. Their barrel is bottomless pit of scum.

Does the Emoluments Clause require the liquidation of all private business assets in order to serve in that office?

Citizen legislators, mostly farmers at the founding, were expected to serve and then return to private life.
Now they serve and profit from government "service".

How do politicians increase their net worth will serving in government office?

but it requires that they don't make deals, especially with foreign entities, while in the White House.

it requires that his family cannot serve in the White House and still make deals over seas.

It requires that the US Government does not change it's practices so it can do business with his properties.

Rejecting a request from President Trump, a federal judge in Washington on Tuesday cleared the way for nearly 200 Democrats in Congress to continue their lawsuit against him alleging that his private business violates an anti-corruption provision of the Constitution.

U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan declined to put the case on hold and said lawmakers could begin this week seeking financial information, interviews and other records from the Trump Organization.

“This case will be poised for resolution within six months; an immediate appeal would hardly materially advance its ultimate termination,” Sullivan wrote in a 12-page ruling rejecting the president’s position.
