Does the Red Cross have a role in inspecting migrant camps?

I'm thinking about the Nazi camp of Theresienstadt. Remember how the Red Cross visited that concentration camp to determine if there was a humanitarian crime being committed? Remember how they were snookered into thinking there was nothing to be worried about? Where is the Red Cross in our border crisis? Don't they usually try to render aid around the world?

WHERE IS THE RED CROSS? Isn't this their mission?

For those who have not heard of Theresienstadt, here's a primer:

It was the Allies “Protecting Power”, Eg. Switzerland.

Meanwhile the INTERNATIONAL RED CROSS provided food parcels for prisoners on both sides.

because, being hopelessly cynical, I wondered what good a Red Cross inspection would do when the inspectors were so easily fooled.
