The epitome of modern Republican Party:

Being more upset over a pair of sneakers than

-The thousands of children being separated from their parents

-The thousands of Americans that die from gun violence annually

-The millions of Americans that can’t afford healthcare

I'm afraid I can't allow his "youth" to be an excuse for such disrespect of Nancy Pelosi.

He’s young so he still has some stuff to learn.
He was 18 at the time that he said those things... a legal adult. Even a pre-teen adolescent knows better.

And even if his words were uttered in the heat of the moment, when he was riled and had a complete lapse of judgement... where's the apology? Now that he's had time to consider his words, and to hear the disapproval of others, why hasn't he bothered to apologize?

But I like what I see from him. He’s going to be a future leader.
I don't like what I see in him. That is the behavior of privilege, of having a believe that he's "better" than others. I guess I just have different standards, because that's NOT the type of behavior what I'd look for in a "future leader".

Had YOU had to walk through hallways of bullet-ridden corpses of your friends, with their brains and organs splattered on the walls and the floors, you might see things from a different perspective.

David isn't decrying Nancy's age as much as he believes that some politicians do not have the ability to see things in any other light than that which they have operated for decades. Decades with NO PROGRESS on gun control. NO PROGRESS on gun violence. NO PROGRESS on children being shot to death in the one place they should be safest. NO PROGRESS on children not believing they are wearing targets on their backs.

Since Columbine - when nothing was done but a lot of political posturing and hand-wringing - children in this country have felt like they are walking targets. This is what they have grown up with. If you grow up with this hanging over your head, while adults do NOTHING, then you begin to see them as part of the problem.

No I haven't forgotten anything. Stop making excuses for him to act like a brat. If he wants to be treated like an adult, he needs to act like one. If he wants to be taken seriously, then he needs to grow up and accept personal responsibility for the ugly things he's said and apologize. So far, none of those have happened.

I can tell you that so far Pelosi has not shown anything, I am quite disappointed by Pelosi, by refusing to impeach the creature she is making the situation much worst.

From what I have read so far on this post, he may have said something about her age? and siding with the people who wanted fresh blood? I wonder if a younger, more progressive person had her position today if impeachment proceedings may have already started.

Everyday the creature does something really bad, I won't even list examples, and he will continue because at this time "HE IS" above the law, if Pelosi will not impeach, if he will not be made accountable for all he has done then "HE IS" above the law.

How can anyone not understand that? If someone robs a bank and doesn't get prosecuted, then he/she will rob another one, and another one, why not? No one seems to care to put the burglar in jail, why should he/she stop then robbing banks?, as a matter of fact, the bigger the bank the better, right? Ok, that is the creature today...no one stopped him from bringing the tanks and doing all the crap he did to actually take a dump on the country and on the July 4th celebration...how many treasonous things will he do before, or if any accountability id made of his and his cronies actions? Pelosi is failing us.

He takes a dump on top of the country every day, and the dumps will get bigger, his belly is full, and no one is stopping him.

How the right gets so upset because a flag designed in the War of 1812 is being removed from some items that have absolutely nothing to do with the signing of the Constitution. I fart in their general direction.

Disrespecting the flag by wearing it on tattered shirts, stupid cartoon hats, socks, shorts, ties, even their panties.

Ah, but if the Left does it, it's treason, doncha know.

I recall Abbie Hoffman wearing a shirt he claimed was made from the flag. He appeared on, was it Dick Cavet?, wearing it and the brainiacs in the network actually blurred out his shirt so as not to give offense to the RWs at home -- who may have wrapped themselves in a flag-shawl to cover their flag pajamas while watching the show. Meanwhile the audience booed and hissed.

America! Ain't it great?
