...he also knows what galvanizes his own base, too. He mentions "Democrats" and "Obama" in his speeches more than he mentions his own policies and plans.

Even the media knows as they love reporting he reverses and "Obama-era" policy.

he’s not so dumb as we think, but actually an evil genius - adept at trolling us, keeping us upset, keeping us reeling in chaos, relentlessly attacking our sensibilities on every front. It cannot be coincidence that every single thing he does is so spectacularly fucked. Melanoma, too. I think they are two peas in a pod - soulless sociopaths.

In addition to your list, we also regularly call him an idiot, a crook, and a fascist, so I presume you're not saying that's how we need to paint him either.

So, what should we say about him? What is it that we're missing?

illegitimate pResident. He does know how to push every button and trip every trigger. So we should figure out that playing into his game is what will defeat us in the end, and he knows this from a lifetime of bullying and bullshit for profit.

What do rules or laws mean if there is never any penalty for violating them?

He does literally get away with everything. And of course the Republicans are explicitly complicit with all it.

Even the Democrats in the House seem to be as effective as an attack dog with not teeth. Lots of barking and even a little gumming, but nothing really changes. Subpoenas -- HA HA!

And now the new dear leader is putting his thumb into the eye of the supreme court.

I don't understand how this is allowed to happen. I don't think this will end well.

11. Saying Trump is the worst president ever isn't about making him feel bad; it's to persuade

those who might say "what's the difference between Republicans and Democrats?" to think "fuck yeah, Republicans really are pieces of shit, I better vote for Democrats".

I'm not convinced that your tactic - don't mention how awful Trump is, and just be positive about Democrats - is going to turn out those who didn't bother voting in 2016.

He mocks and name-calls and then we mock and name-call him. To quote Dr. Phil, "So how's that working out for y'all?"

I think it works out pretty well. We - the people doing the mocking and name-calling - aren't running for president. We don't need dignity or the impression of being a wise and fair judge of how to run the country. We're just people who know what a dumb shit Trump is. Or candidates aren't doing the name-calling; they still look like proper politicians and states-people.

Great; that happens in about 11 months' time. In the mean time, you're complaining that we're pointing out Trump's myriad failings. I do think there are people who can still be convinced that Trump is a terrible human being. There are many people who don't often vote, but will if they can see a really good reason. And there's no point in waiting 11 months, twiddling our thumbs.

Remember, we're dealing with a liar, a narcissist, a bully, a braggart, mentally unstable, a misogynist, a racist... don't let him have an easy time.

Your life will be better and you won't be so triggered. (I mean "you" in the general sense, not to say anyone here is triggered...just to clarify)
