except: i took her instruction and watched that clip, only to learn she had provided the transcript below. now i am soiled by it and can no longer take pride in not having listened to one second of it.

To my knowledge, there was no military parade (just the military equipment that couldn't be viewed unless you were in VIP area), but there were supposed to be fireworks.
