RE: Epstein Arrest - What about Trump Model Management?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump_Model_Management

I think that maybe the SDNY should cross-reference the complete model list at that agency against their other information. Trump Models imported a whole flock of foreign models under questionable visas. Maybe Epstein hired some of the younger ones for his fantasy trips. You think, maybe?

A Jamaican-born fashion model is taking on American presidential wannabe Donald Trump, saying the modeling agency he owned treated her “like a slave.”

The model, Alexia Palmer, said in a lawsuit against the agency lured her to New York to work at age 17 with the promise of riches and fame, but she received only US $3,880 plus cash advances totaling $1,100 over a three year period. Trump Model Management had, however, filed immigration documents to obtain a special work visa, called an H-1B, for Palmer, certifying she would work “full-time” and earn $75,000 a year, Palmer alleges.

“That’s what slavery people do,” Palmer told ABC News. “You work and don’t get no money.”

She said the agency took 80 percent of her earnings as expenses and fees but only found her 21 shoots over three years. And under the terms of her visa, she could not work anywhere else if she wanted to stay in the U.S.

Trump's attorney, Alan Garten, disputed Palmer’s claim, saying she was treated the same as any other fashion industry prospect and made little money because “she had a lack of work."

The model representation business is not a nice thing. The younger the model, the better, it seems. A guy could imagine a model agency sending out underaged models on all sorts of things. It's such a highly competitive business that some might accept sketchy assignments to "help their careers."

I just think a close look at the now-defunct company might yield some very interesting information that connects to the Epstein case. But, I'm not concerned. I'm sure the folks at the SDNY are very clever and have already thought of this.

i have a feeling that it is important that these are new crimes. if they contain it to new crimes, they get to cover up a whole lot of crimes by a whole lot of people who dont have time to hang w jeffy these days.

I'm pretty sure it's all of a piece, really. Modeling attracts a lot of young women, some in their early teens, who expect to be super-models and appear in the pages of Vogue and other magazines. The reality is that only a tiny percentage of models ever achieve that sort of status. The rest struggle just to make a living. There have been any number of expose stories that explain how many models are hired for work by corporations and others that has nothing to do with fashion modeling. They show up to look beautiful and impress clients.

All too often, those models are offered money to do other things, as well, and many accept, due to the high cost of living and the uncertainty of their profession. And that's how young models, including some in their early to mid-teens get trafficked into sexual acts, always with the promise of some future success and by their need to make enough money to survive.

Most models never see themselves on the pages of fashion magazines or on the catwalk of major fashion shows. Most models never will. But the dream lives on, and people often do almost anything in the quest for their dreams. It's a fertile field for sexual exploitation by men who don't care one whit for the people they exploit.

modeling? again, he is so transparently evil that it is gobsmacking, unbelievable, and really, paralyzing.

modeling is a lot like sports, music, arts. anything w a star system has way more little fish than big fish.
a star system is not zero sum.
a star system creates value out of indefinable and ephemeral.
those at the top get enough to make others want to be on top.
and the guys in the middle get fat.
and middling guys get laid.

and there are always more fish.

8. Julie K. Brown: "Quite A Few Powerful And Important" Names Will Come Up In Jeffrey Epstein Sex Case
Sun Jul 7, 2019, 01:24 PM
Jul 2019

<snip>

"Miami Herald investigative reporter Julie K. Brown, who has done original reporting on details of the alleged sex trafficking crimes of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein for the past several years, joined MSNBC Sunday morning to discuss the evidence against Epstein and the "rogues gallery" of rich, powerful, and famous people who are suspected to have used his services. Epstein was arrested Saturday in New Jersey on sex trafficking charges.

"I've felt a lot of pressure," Brown said. "Needless to say, these are very powerful people and I think that they're sweating a little bit, especially today. We don't know how much, how deep this went, how far-reaching it went in government, but there have been a lot of names that I could see on these message pads [listing clients] on a regular basis as part of the evidence. These message pads where they would call and leave Epstein messages, such as, 'I'm at this hotel.' Why do you do that, unless you're expecting him to send you a girl to visit you at your hotel? So there are probably quite a few important people, powerful people, who are sweating it out right now. We'll have to wait and see whether Epstein is going to name names."

She said Epstein's relationship with fellow Palm Beach resident Donald Trump was "friendly." "They went to dinner parties at each other's houses, Trump was also on his plane. Probably not as much as a lot of other people because, you know, Trump had his own plane. But they had a lot of social relationships. And the other interesting thing is Trump had a modeling agency, and Epstein also had a stake in a modeling agency, which they suspect he used to bring in underage girls from overseas."

"There is a comment in one of the court files where Epstein is quoted as saying, 'I want to set up my modeling agency the same way Trump set up his modeling agency.' I don't know what that means, but it is curious he was trying to do something similar to Trump." Brown said."

Former Models for Donald Trump’s Agency Say They Violated Immigration Rules and Worked Illegally

“It’s like modern-day slavery.”

Republican nominee Donald Trump has placed immigration at the core of his presidential campaign. He has claimed that undocumented immigrants are “taking our jobs” and “taking our money,” pledged to deport them en masse, and vowed to build a wall on the Mexican border. At one point he demanded a ban on Muslims entering the country. Speaking to supporters in Iowa on Saturday, Trump said he would crack down on visitors to the United States who overstay their visas and declared that when any American citizen “loses their job to an illegal immigrant, the rights of that American citizen have been violated.” And he is scheduled to give a major address on immigration in Arizona on Wednesday night.

But the mogul’s New York modeling agency, Trump Model Management, has profited from using foreign models who came to the United States on tourist visas that did not permit them to work here, according to three former Trump models, all noncitizens, who shared their stories with Mother Jones. Financial and immigration records included in a recent lawsuit filed by a fourth former Trump model show that she, too, worked for Trump’s agency in the United States without a proper visa.

Foreigners who visit the United States as tourists are generally not permitted to engage in any sort of employment unless they obtain a special visa, a process that typically entails an employer applying for approval on behalf of a prospective employee. Employers risk fines and possible criminal charges for using undocumented labor.

Founded in 1999, Trump Model Management “has risen to the top of the fashion market,” boasts the Trump Organization’s website, and has a name “that symbolizes success.” According to a financial disclosure filed by his campaign in May, Donald Trump earned nearly $2 million from the company, in which he holds an 85 percent stake. Meanwhile, some former Trump models say they barely made any money working for the agency because of the high fees for rent and other expenses that were charged by the company.

Models for Donald Trump's 'crooked' modeling agency say they worked in U.S. illegally under conditions that resembled 'modern-day slavery'

Donald Trump's modeling company was a "crooked agency" that put young women into "modern-day slavery" and had them working in the U.S. illegally, former models for the organization claimed in a bombshell report published Tuesday.

Trump Model Management, which was founded by the GOP nominee in 1999, has made its money on foreign models working in the U.S. illegally and under horrible conditions, several former models told Mother Jones magazine.

"Honestly, they are the most crooked agency I've ever worked for," said Rachel Blais, a Canadian-born model who signed with Trump Model Management in 2004 and worked for the company without the proper visa paperwork.

Another woman, identified by the magazine as "Kate," who said the agency never obtained a work visa for her even though she worked for them as a model in the U.S., blasted the mogul for his apparent hypocrisy.

Trump profited from foreign labor, and often illegal workers, while the GOP nominee on the campaign trail bashed immigrants and threatened to "round up" 11 million undocumented immigrants with a "deportation force."

Trump's modeling agency broke immigration laws, attorneys say

Donald Trump's modeling agency has profited from the very same visa program that the presidential candidate himself has slammed -- and appears to have violated federal law in the process, a CNNMoney investigation has found.

Throughout his campaign, Trump has loudly opposed the practice of U.S. companies using foreign workers instead of Americans -- specifically the highly-skilled workers brought to the United States through the controversial H-1B visa program.

"These are temporary foreign workers, imported from abroad, for the explicit purpose of substituting for American workers at lower pay. I remain totally committed to eliminating rampant, widespread H-1B abuse," Trump said in a statement on his website, though he backtracked on his position during a recent Republican debate.

While this visa program is best known for bringing over technology workers like engineers and computer programmers, Trump's own modeling agency has used the program for years, federal data shows. That's because federal law surprisingly lumps in fashion models with these other specialized workers -- though it's the only job that doesn't require higher education. (Instead, models must have "distinguished merit and ability.&quot
