We'll have a lot more to worry about than that if somehow Mitt becomes President, but the thought of Ann Romney in the White House is sickening- particularly in light of the terrific First Lady we now have.
I was just watching her give some little speech to some group. She is just so out of touch and if I hear about all her woes and supposed hardships (bringing up 5 boys, MS, her supposed breast cancer, etc) anymore I think I'll scream.

(2,940 posts)I felt the same way about Cindy McCain, too, though I didn't have any particularly strong feelings about Laura Bush.
Michelle Obama is clearly a wonderful person, and an excellent First Lady.

(51,122 posts)We'd go from having a strong, intelligent, compassionate, independent role model that fights for the health and well-being of children and vets to a empty shell of a being that will give lessons to women on how to properly instruct your nanny in the raising of your children.

From now on, we want our Firsts to be lean, smart and energetic. Not tired and old has-beens like the Romneys.
