1. Wow. That's past the life expectancy for him, I guess, but seems a bit young...
for someone who has been so slim and energetic all his life. And short (short people live longer!).
He seemed like a good guy. May he rest in peace. ![]() |

4. You really think so?
I get the impression that if he had been involved in politics in recent years, he would have been a Trumpster.

6. Trump ran on Perot's Reform party in 1999 and I don't think he was ever a Hillary Clinton fan so...
That said, I don't think Perot was an irredeemable a'hole like Trump and his ilk. Perot seemed to have a conscience for one, treated his employees and others well, from what I have read and his philanthropy was the real "deal' and not some scam for self-benefit.

12. Perot was not at all like Trump.
Yeah, I think he was a good guy. Arrogant, like most powerful men. Ethical, it seems. Philanthropic. Concerned about the national debt and outsourcing of jobs. Supported gay rights and gun control before it was popular. He served in the military, but was generally anti-middle east war. But he was a true conservative in other ways. He was a family man.
In many ways, he was the opposite of Trump. He seemed to me to a good guy, with good intentions and ethics. There aren't many powerful men like that. ![]() |

2. Met him briefly once, seemed like an OK guy.
Told him I was glad he got back into the pres. race but didn't tell him it was because it meant taking away repub votes.
RIP Mr. Perot. |

R.I.P. Ross Perot, I guess it's time for you to go.

Until you show me a chart that explains it.

13. He was right, too.
That sucking sound you heard was the sound of factories and jobs moving to Mexico. Once one of your competitors move, you have to, too, to stay competitive. Ultimately, Perot's company had to move at least part of its operations to Mexico.
I still remember Perot on the Larry King show with his charts, explaining it all. |

15. $4T in debt. That sounds quaint now
Trump has us up to $20T in debt.

14. My mother voted for him.
She thought having a millionaire business man in the White House was a good idea.
