President Donald Trump is once again pushing conspiracy theories on his Twitter account.
On Tuesday, Trump posted a clip from Fox News of his television defense attorney, Rudy Guiliani, calling special counsel Robert Mueller a hitman.
Fox News personality Sean Hannity asked Giuliani a whataboutism question, wondering why others werent investigated instead of the president.
Because he didnt care about the truth, Giuliani argued. He was a hitman.

(4,573 posts)he'd really object to all of these hideous and slanderous attacks.
He's clearly a smart man, so he would know that A: they're wholly misrepresenting his investigation and B: these are not normal times and following the rules that the GOP have decided to take a dump on will get you nowhere.
But instead, it's like pulling teeth from a t-rex to get him to say anything other than "it's in the report."

So much for the "he's afraid of losing his pension" theory.
"If had any honor he'd step up and reveal what he found and what kind of obstruction he ran into during his investigation."
He was very explicit in his report. If you'd read it, you'd know that - or maybe you're just waiting for the film version.

(5,240 posts)Other than Manafort I don't recall other specific people who he named as knowingly impeding the investigation. He seemed to make excuses for a number of people in Trumps inner circle.
I think that there is more than enough in the redacted report to shock people. I just don't know if Mueller will make his answers clear enough for most people to understand, it's so easy to get lost in minutia and vagueness.
Oh, thanks for the passive aggressive insult.

(27,816 posts)... because the 'honorable man' is the one who validates 'slanderous attacks' by acknowledging them, and then responding to them.
"He would know that they're wholly misrepresenting his investigation." I'm sure he doesn't know - maybe you should send him a text.

(7,715 posts)For goodness' sake....can the Ds not coming up with a catchy slogan/meme to remind all people (normal and deplorable) about the extreme fishiness of these people's behavior?
I've given one example, but we need something that will stick with as many people as possible from here until the night of November 3, 2020.
Our future depends on it. This is what American politics seems to have come to.

(82,849 posts)How weird that Giuliani would characterize Mueller as a hitman, when he totally exonerated Trump?
