They can be kinda cool, in short intervals, OUTSIDE, for somber occasions ... but generally, they pretty much suck.

(2,843 posts).....and other emergency workers. There were over 400 of these and they were, for the most part, dignified events. But most, if not all, had police and fire department bag pipers perform, and I couldn't help but think "Haven't the people of New York suffered enough".
