Trump confidant: Acosta will be gone in weeks

BY JESSICA CAMPISI - 07/10/19 07:15 AM EDT

A longtime confidant of President Trump said late Tuesday that Labor Secretary Alex Acosta’s role in helping to secure a plea deal for financier Jeffrey Epstein was “indefensible” and that he is “not going to stay for long” as a Cabinet member.

“My experience with Donald Trump is if he sees somebody is a bad apple … he will stay as far away from that person is possible,” Chris Ruddy, the CEO of Newsmax, told CNN’s Don Lemon. “I think the plea agreement he did is indefensible."

When asked if that meant Acosta could be gone within weeks, Ruddy responded: “I think in a relatively quick period, he will be gone.”

Ruddy added that GOP senators were aware of the plea deal when they voted unanimously to confirm Acosta in April 2017, but now say privately that the situation has changed since federal prosecutors unsealed new charges against Epstein on Monday.

“I think the president looks at this and says, ‘Hey, he did a good job as secretary of Labor, he passed a Senate confirmation where senators knew … about this deal,' ” Ruddy said.

Or in a very fitting vampiresque way, he sees nothing. (Double entendre on "nothing" was intentional.)

As trump is planning his resignation for him, using maybe Barr and others to force him to do this , and promising things he won't do for him. Just like others he's done this too, he'll threaten him if he refuses , even though trump may have been part of a group that made the sweetheart deal Acosta gave Epstein, and probably was involved with Epstein in a child sex ring which they are desperately now trying to cover it all up. trump's involvement will be fully exposed , and Epstein will talk, along with many others and the girls. Its just a matter of time, because this will not just go away. Trump should resign too from this, period , and face criminal charges and consequences also. Republicans backing people involved with child sex rings are getting closer and closer to the bottom of the barrel. 2020 will not be good to trump and the gop, if they are still here in office. Calls for trump to resign should be started soon as he gets exposed more he knew all about this child sex ring, and participated in it.

If Epstein hadn't been arrested, Acosta would have stayed under the radar. But now that it's all coming out, Chump will get rid of him as soon as possible.

If Chump ever does resign, it won't be over this. Only a Democrat would take responsibility for his/her mistakes, never a Repuke. But I agree with you it wouldn't hurt to start calling for Chump to resign.

What a bunch of grade A grass fed bullshit. He's never met a scumbag he didn't like. Which is probably why he's being blackmailed out the ass.
