You know what an elizabethan collar is? Those big plastic cones they stick on dogs' heads after surgery so they don't lick their incisions?

What she's wearing are elizabethan collars for her hands, so she won't break anything.

It’s too long to get into, but Trump basically wants to shift funds from stand alone kidney dialysis centers and encourage people to do home hemodialysis.

The Medicare funding for renal failure is the closest we have to “Medicare for all” example. It’s not really, because it’s a single disorder with multiple causes, but it’s the only chronic illness with funding in this particular way

"Careful treatment — including control of diabetes and high blood pressure, the two main culprits — can help prevent further kidney deterioration. But more than 700,000 people have end-stage renal disease, meaning their kidneys have failed, and require either a transplant or dialysis to survive. Only about a third received specialized kidney care before they got so sick." https://www.apnews.com/9703ade402c94f27b7d1c2c4d585049b

My wife had kidney failure....she died from another disease that was caused by her lack of kidney functions.

You know what else causes kidney failure on a large scale? Round Up. Trump is setting it up to protect Monsanto and Bayer. If Medicare covers fully the cost of kidney failure then will anyone have standing to file lawsuits against Round Up manufacturers?

If you have hard water, a hot environment and are exposed to Round Up, your kidneys are likely to fail.

"Of the 2 million people who receive treatment for kidney failure, the majority are treated in only five countries – the United States, Japan, Germany, Brazil, and Italy. These five countries represent only 12% of the world population. Only 20% are treated in about 100 developing countries that make up over 50% of the world population. More than 80% of all patients who receive treatment for kidney failure are in affluent countries."https://www.kidney.org/kidneydisease/global-facts-about-kidney-disease

Because the affluent nations use more Round Up on their food and landscape.

You know what states have the highest incidents of kidney failure? Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. You know what they all 3 have in common? Hard water and very hot temperatures. https://www.kidney.org/news/newsroom/nr/KD_StateHardHit

There is a map of where kidney failure is most common in the US at that last link. It is very interesting.

"This funding is really important for the effective treatment of kidney disease, which affects many Americans... blah blah blah.." But what does this decidedly not normal president say? “The kidney, very special, the kidney has a very special place in the heart. It’s an incredible thing. … There’s a spirit like you see rarely,” OK, maybe Melania has spirited kidneys. But stuff like this makes me long for the days when presidential incoherence was limited to comments about gynecologists not being able to practice their love with women all across the country. Trump makes W look like fuckin' Laurence Olivier.

President Biden.

British airports in the American Revolution.

Ft. McHendy, the Star Spangled Banner, and the American Revolution.

Cornwallis of Yorktown and too many more ... all in the last few weeks.

I think that is why we are seeing Ivanka, Don Jr., and Kushner so close to him @
