How the legal system, the media will know about these people and won't go after them
He name checked Harvey Weinstein, The Trump kids, and others for their corruption, how the DAs and media got stories and didn't pursue them
Manafort et al, these people commit crimes in the wide open

He is being taken advantage of by the other party and the legal system. They don't expect him to have any leverage or power in the case, and are not treating him as they would someone with full legal representation.
I see and experience it every day.

The progress may be very slow and painful but still worthwhile. Perhaps in another 10,000 or 100,000 years we'll have societies with real justice. There'll still be some to hold the Lord Of The Flies like dump and others but ending up with 90% just and democratic would be fantastic.

(21,753 posts)Say 1950. Corruption was a given. An absolute given, that if you had money and/or friends, you had no problem with the authorities on any level.
The very concept of civil rights was "fringe". You could beat your wife and kids, you could drive drunk, and beating up gay guys was commendable. And a cop shooting a black guy? Hell, you didn't need to be a cop to walk away from that charge.
Still a long ways to go, I know. Lots of setbacks and atrocities. But at least now people NOTICE atrocities and injustice.
We have to keep on working, together. They have the money, the microphones, and, often, the cover of law. We have people, the good people, who won't rest until things are put right.

We cannot continue as a democracy w/ this level of criminality in a POTUS (past & present) & every corner of his administration.
Passing impeachment responsibilities onto voters tells every corrupt pol that they can run amok if getting enough votes.
THIS STRATEGY WILL DESTROY US.
