We have this wacky concept of 'innocent until proven guilty' in this country.

I'm quite sure that 'flight risk' and 'risk to the public' are the predominant reasons he's not already been granted bail.

If conditions are created such that there is no risk of flight, nor of being a threat to the public, he will, for better or worse, likely be granted bail.

This is why his lawyers are proposing home detention with monitoring and guards.

I don't make the rules, but I don't necessarily disagree with how they work either. Sometimes the parameters result in situations I'm not happy with, but the philosophy behind them is solid.

I'd be about 95% sure it'll be off-duty police officers.
