Sitting his rotund orange ass in the oval and Democrats attack Democrats.
Fuck this shit.
Get your shit together democrats we are NOT the enemy of one another.
These are not normal times. Now is not the time to fill ones ego. Now is not the time to divide anyone of us against the other. Now is not the time for making other democrats look bad so a twitter feed gets some fucking likes.
My god. Can we fucking focus on getting the fascist bastard out of office.
If we dont, kiss your fucking everything goodbye.

(63,918 posts)United we stand, divided we fall. Just food for thought.
We have a country to save, let's stop the piling up on Democrats. We are the good guys.

(10,839 posts)Cannot be said enough because too many are more distracted disparaging Democrats for . . . whatever. And that 'whatever' doesn't compare to the real threat squatting in the White House and the busy bees dismantling our democratic Republic.
The biggest priority is ridding ourselves of the Man Who Would Be King. Because if we don't? All bets are off for the future of the country, the welfare of our fellow citizens and the world at large.
If that sounds alarmist? Just keep on keeping on. Then we can have a flyby somewhere over the edge of the abyss.

It is too painful to think about. I felt that we will no longer be a republic but a dictatorship.

(24,317 posts)I will seriously consider leaving the country, or at least be ready to.
When Trump won the nomination, I got a passport for the first time in my life. My wife has relatives in Canada, and we are retired.

(15,552 posts)The mainstream media is already writing articles about how the Democrats are in a mess (that's one headline I read today). Maybe we don't have any control over what they write, but we sure as hell have control over presenting a united front.
Let's not give them any ammunition for their sensational headlines. This is too important to take the stand that we'll come together once we have a candidate because by then it will be cemented in the public's mind that "Democrats are a mess".

(42,770 posts)but no one is listening to us.
Never been this discouraged. Me and my friends and family preparing our brains for trump for 5 1/2 more years.
Man, we so sorely need savvy.
And if anyone says, "get out there and work your ass off"...why? Nothing has been done to stand up to this monster by at the bare minimum censure or impeachment And no one has been savvy enough to figure out SOME way for fair election protection money...we are fucking screwed. Hell take out an ad to demand protection $$$. Shame them. The RUSSIANS ( and probably trump) hacked before. Play it up every day! Like I said we have no leader. We have zero savvy media plan. If you think about it..only Steyer has had any kind of media push. And we hold debates where people argue about minor points. When there's a giant criminal elephant in the room.
Maybe when we have a nominee?

(14,586 posts)blacklist any consulting firms that choose to work with Democrats attempting to defeat sitting members of the party in primary elections, which basically stifles younger candidates when there are 86 million millennials out there who are adults who cannot start families, who are delaying marriage, who cannot afford a home, who are buried in student loan debt, who aren't starting businesses, who are ANGRY and just waiting for someone like AOC to come along and motivate them, light a fire in their hearts.
Instead of that we have leaders who seem to many to be moving too slow. And we have our own party leaders turning against four of the most dynamic young progressives in the party.
Doesn't seem like this will end well. Oh, no worries if you're conservative, or identify with the centrist wing of the party - you'll win. You have the money, the position, and the power to squelch these young upstarts. That's a sure thing.
But your victory will be hollow at best because you need the millennials and the voting-age member of Gen Z to be motivated, to believe in you, to believe in what we're trying to do.
Leaders set the vision and move forward so people can follow. And you do that by taking risk when called for, not by being politic. If I had sworn, without equivocation, to uphold the Constitution of the US and defend it from all enemies, domestic and foreign, I would be supporting impeachment hearings. And calling them that.
And, I would be working with the rank and file to get on the same page with maybe 3 to 5 powerful talking points and then saying those thing over and over and over and over. That is what the GOP does, and why they were able to shut down Obama for 6 of his 8 years in office, and why they have been able to keep Trump in office for three horrifying years.
WE NEED TO LEARN TO FIGHT.

(6,535 posts)just 5 and 1/2 more years? I don't think he's kidding about staying in office for multiple terms (and I'd bet the Republicans will back him 100%, especially if they can find a way to keep him alive for another few decades...doesn't even matter if he's completely around the bend senile).
Don't get me wrong, I'll vote and everything, but I think we've already lost our country. Sorry.

(13,571 posts)...the next debate by attacking top tier candidates.
What can we do to stop this??
A good portion of the lower tier needs to drop out NOW, rather than put themselves before the good of the party and country.

(3,173 posts)...you ever considered starting your own Party?
...how will we ever determine which Dem won't wilt under the heat from the trump kitchen?...and where is it written that all things Dem should go smoothly?
...we all want the "..rotund orange ass.." out of the White House but we disagree on who can best do that...
...and let's say we should give trump the boot, then what?...more of the same?
...more of the same as we count the days to the next "..rotund orange ass.."?
...we'll be just fine...
