The Squad as the face of the Democratic Party is supposed to be a problem?
Think again.

They also sent a strong message on impeachment, to more than just Trump.

(294,225 posts)Justice is coming - I loved that she used the Con's own words 'grab em by the pussy'. Caught them all off guard.
They're not giving Kornachi a pass - Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! There were no personal attacks on the president.
Fuck you Kornachi.

But Kornacki revealed his true feelings....

(294,225 posts)Excellent. She walked all over him and destroyed his attempt to feign an attack on the Con. The good news is he has very little time left to push the 'hackery' aka fuckery

I change the channel whenever the dweeb with the rolled-up sleeves and the "big board" bounces onscreen. Can't stand him.
Kornachi was way off base ... and actually appeared incompetent in trying to press and defend his view. Hes a simpleton and hopefully closer to being a has/been today.

(40,940 posts)Trump wants to make these women the face of the Democratic Party. Big win for them!
Then these four women go out and give Don the Con a most cogent, principled and thorough asskicking.
It was beautiful.

(18,579 posts)Those 4 women showed what they stood for and Trump revealed what a bigoted, vicious scumbag he is.

With both Leaders of the Party speaking out in protest they reminded me of a family that can quarrel like cats and dogs but woe to the outsider that attacks them. They come together as one!

(12,327 posts)They are strong, powerful women. Rep. Omar did not gloss over Trumps own, vulgar language. Everyone should watch this historic press conference.
Trump should be terrified. The squad is the future.
Trumps craven, nationalistic and cowardly base are stuck in a vortex of hate. He and his enablers will be soundly defeated in 2020.

(4,523 posts)absolutely. nails. it.
You can see what the moderates were thinking: They would score a bipartisan feather in their caps by passing an administration-friendly bill that included money for border security in addition to humanitarian relief, just in time for Americas birthday.
Like many Democratic initiatives, this reasoning relies on a 90s-style model of what the average voter wantsa collaborative relationship between the president and Congress, say, and conservative-leaning immigration policies. But that model doesnt accord with polling in the Trump era. In 2018, large majorities of voters across the U.S. consistently told pollsters that they wanted to see a Democratic Congress elected to act as a check on the administration.

(63,993 posts)that's what fuels all of the "Dems in turmoil" bullshit. Easy on the Twitter-bashing, confine it to Trump & Co.
When they keep their eyes on the prize, they are a force. Nobody is saying they shouldn't contribute to voices on policy. Just tone down the 'Trumpiness' on social media.

If that's how they want their short careers to be -- as a tool for Trump and the MSM -- fine, go to it. Just don't blame Nancy Pelosi, Elijah Cummings, and others who have spent their lives in struggles these young women can't imagine.

(13,286 posts)When I'm driving, I will occasionally listen to Wingnut radio to see what's going on in Crazyland.
The Bloated Bloviator was praising Fat Donnie's great plan to reunite Pelosi and the Squad (his term) to reunite the Democrat (sic) Party, and then smear the entire party with the Squad's communism, socialism, and anti-Americanism. He seemed to think that if Trump could do that, he'd win a second term in a walk.
Then I threw up in my mouth and changed to a music station.

(17,337 posts)on Kornacki afterwards on MSNBC MTP-D. Kornacki tried to argue that Trump hasn't been charged with colluding with Russia, but Maxwell corrected him that the Mueller report looked for criminal conspiracy, not ordinary co-operation or co-ordination. On that count, the Mueller report contained many example of the latter. Classic!
