First, his wife starts negotiating separately on the criminal charges the family Hunter are fighting. Second, some of his affairs come clattering out of his closet, and he has to explain how spending on his mistresses were legitimate campaign expenses. Now the Marines have come calling:

A spokesperson for Rep. Hunter told NBC News that the Hunter campaign "was made aware of the concerns expressed and the request made by the U.S. Marine Corps not to include any of its copyrighted material in his campaign pieces."
"The campaign immediately complied and is taking all appropriate measures to ensure this matter is addressed appropriately and thoroughly."

(82,849 posts)The story ends with the Corps offering guidance to Hunter's campaign about alternative wording or insignia he could use, but it doesn't explicitly identify what that might be. Semper Infidelis could have been one of those suggestions. Shoulda been.
