Why are gas stations running short on gas in Missouri????

6. Wouldn't do any good. It has to be refined into Gasoline and other products.
The refineries themselves shut down for the storm.

7. According to the local Atlanta TV stations,
we are not running out of gas even though the price is rising.

9. Gulf coast production and refineries shut down because of Hurricane Isaac
a few days to a week of that can play hell with deliveries and inventory, considering that gasoline is delivered on a "just in time" basis.
