Foothills on the western Sierras just below Placerville. All of you in the heat wave area try to keep cool. I have been through a few heat waves and know the misery you are experiencing. Am concerned about the farm animals. How do they react to extreme heat?

and summer record high temps in Iowa are usually either from 1934 or 1936, so this will just be purgatory.
