(17,729 posts)I was walking in the woods at my local metropark today. It's a part of the park that isn't very well known by the general public and off quite a distance from the main part of the park. It was such a beautiful day for a hike here in Michigan. Sometimes I see where maybe some teenagers built a tepee type structure from large dead branches and I think, "well, that's pretty creative". Or some larger rocks made into a tower of sorts. However, today I saw on a large tree's trunk "Fuck Trump". I have to admit I chuckled to myself.

(20,818 posts)that's a predominantly red area, if I'm not mistaken. There's exceptions to every rule, but I've seen a lot of Trump signs in my travels along the southern New York border. I'm glad there's a few people down there with some sense in their heads anyway.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
