My Uber Driver

My girlfriend is at a convention in Dallas and I'm here with her but not attending the convention. If I want to go somewhere I just take Uber. I went to see Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and then I went to Target. We're staying at the Doubletree by Love Field. On the way back to the hotel I tell the Uber driver as we pass brand new apartment buildings and town homes America is a great country if you have money. He then mentions that it's not a great country if you don't have health insurance and mentions the U.K's National Health Service. I should mention he's from Nigeria and is finalizing his citizenship. I quickly agree and then mention in California where I live everybody is covered regardless of ability to pay thanks to The Medicaid expansion made possible by the Affordable Care Act or as it is colloquially known as Obamacare.

I told him Texas didn't take advantage of the ACA for two reasons: one because it was Obama's plan and two because it helps poor people. I mentioned Obama was a great president and a better human being, The elephant in the room came up. Trump who is one literally as well as figuratively. I know he's not literally an elephant. We then discussed Trump's contempt for non whites. This is when I share with him DSB's world view. This isn't my country. This isn't your country. This is our country. We talk about the Constitution. I tell him it is like the Quran, the Torah, or the Bible. It belongs to all who believe in it, according to their own understanding.

BTW if you are in Dallas the Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas are awesome. Oh, the movie was great.

it would have been more fun to watch it back in L A with a L A crowd. I live less than five miles or so from Spahn Ranch.
