that they wear their racism like a badge. They are not ashamed of it. King Dump has validated it. They don’t have to hide it any more. That is why they love him.

One of Trump's biggest victories is how irrelevant he has made racism and other prejudices for a huge portion of our population. Too many of us are still operating under the old model that assumes people care if they're labelled racist. Tens of millions couldn't give 2 shits what we label them. These used to be issues we could easily win on, but too many Americans just don't care anymore.

We should always call it out when we see it, but long gone are the days that someone's controversial racial comments immediately doomed their political career. In fact today, their controversial comments are usually a useful tool for them to distract from their even more problematic policies.

While we handwring over hurtful rhetoric (which unfortunately too many Americans just do not care about), they cage children.

The thing that pisses me off is that the racists are in the minority. I’m exhausted with the stupidity and ridiculousness of it all.

This guy is not racist himself, so I asked him how could he do that, and his answer was simple: Supreme Court.

White. If you still support him, you’re racist.
On edit: Ask yourself WHY is installing extreme right wing judges on the bench for life matters to them?

7. My guess is abortion. A huge portion of our population will overlook everything else.

I think our party far underestimates the percentage of the voting population that is essentially voting on that single issue.

40% of women are anti-choice. No matter how much we want them to care about his pussy grabbing comments, his ability to put an anti-choice candidate on the Supreme Court is far more important to them.

Another is that we have pretty good jobs (he makes roughly $175k per year) and he thinks Republicans will be better for his salary. He's got four kids and a wife that's a server in a restaurant, so even though he makes $50k more than I do, I'm richer than he is by far. I live alone in a small house.

8. But his positions are mostly conservative, so of course he wants right-wing Justices

He's no liberal, he's a Bush type Republican who supported Jeb last time around. Let me use myself for example. Even if I hated the Democratic nominee (which I won't, because I like them all) I'd vote for him or her, because well Supreme Court. I want liberal Justices.

I'm not defending him, he shouldn't be a Republican period. I'm just saying I see the logic and I know he's not a racist. I play cards at his house and he has African American friends. I've also seen him speak out if someone else says something that can be considered racist.
