12. Recent conversation with an old friend

I still can’t believe he voted for Trump, even though he had turned on the Clintons years ago and hated Hillary.
So, he admitted thatvTrump was a racist, but angrily said that he was not a racist and I couldn’t call him that.
Later in the conversation, I dropped the line that I was certainly not a Democrat. He asked what the hell I was talking about, since he knew I worked in every election and had voted straight D all my adult life.
He caught onto my ploy when I began protesting that, just because I always voted Democratic, that didn’t make me a Democrat.
I don’t know that he and I will be speaking again, because I insisted that he was, by definition, a racist if he voted for racists.
