who had a gun but decided to save as many kids as he could because he didn't want a cop to think he was the shooter if he pulled out the gun. Smart thinking on his part There possibility of being nailed as a suspect is why carrying guns is no answer to gun vioolence

There have been several instances of a "good guy with a gun" being mistaken for the perp and consequently shot by police officers arriving at the scene.
