Grew up watching John Wayne, et al in WWII movies wiping out the dirty <insert slur> in the '50s/'60s, but my childish mind was educated by my family and mainstream church to recognize humanity and worth in others.

America is great when we strive to fulfill the promise of our founding, not repeat the legacy of our past.
