I was at the dollar store near my place the other day, and they had a rack of red hats that just said "Canada's Already Great." This little old lady was looking at them, and grabbed a whole stack of them, while I was chuckling at them. She turned to me and said, "I'm visiting family in the states, and some of them are big Trumpers! They'll hate this!!" and I laughed.

25. What Trump and his MAGATs just don't get

is how amazingly resourceful and daring people who are desperate to provide for their families are. They know they can die easily in the vast deserts and they give their last dollar to coyotes to get them across. The journey is truly deadly, but they sacrifice themselves for their families. Trump would die very quickly if he made the same journey.

They will quickly organize to deal with ICE raids. Like I said, they are incredibly resilient, and they help each other.

They are hired by Americans. If Trump goes after them he might get ahead. Trump can start with his own buildings and golf courses.

26. The truth is that I am a stickler for obeying laws including immigration laws

but it is easy for me because I was born into a family (not wealthy) but with resources and so getting a visa was never an issue. That my oldest sister was born in the US (by accident) made life even easier for those who wanted to live in the US.

Additionally you can't have employers and Fundie churches advertising these jobs on the one hand and then the ICE folks locking up the people who come for said jobs. There is too much game playing for profit in the US and it hurts lots of people.
