A Democrat looking to unseat Rep. Steve King (R) in Iowas 4th District said Friday that the attitude among farmers towards climate change has changed significantly over the past few years.
"Is the topic of climate change is that something people are starting to talk about," Hill.TV co-host Krystal Ball asked.
Its night and day with that issue from where we started two years ago to now, especially with all of the 2020 candidates talking about it and going around, J.D. Scholten responded, referring to a number of 2020 Democrats who have been campaigning at the Iowa State Fair this week.
They know somethings different in our planning season, in our harvest season, its a lot wetter and in the summer its a lot drier and all the reports show that agricultures going to be the biggest thing hit when it comes to climate change, he continued.....................................................

Arkansas in the fifties are today's norm for most of Iowa. Yes Iowa gets a winter season,but it is extremely mild in comparison to the 50's. And what are call black or open Winters are happening with more frequency .
Commented about how my Hometown area of Northwestern Wisconsin went from Growing 85 day corn in the fifties to now growing 100+ day corn. Instead of a guaranteed two crops of hay and a late third crop is now three full crops with the outside chance of a limited four hay crop before freeze up.
