Better to just walk away and let Safetykitten play with her little ball of yarn. It is irrelevant and entertaining only to her. Safetykitten will always see a smashing Republican success in everything, Gawd knows why, but once she's got it into her head that X is a Smashing Republican Success, she will spend all day and night insisting on it to anyone who will listen. Walk away now, and you'll save yourself an hour or more of foot-stamping condescension and error.

You started this thread insisting Clint was brilliant and knew exactly what to say to the fence sitters, whom he masterfully persuaded with that bizarre 'speech', then continue to defend your position with posts like this one.

The problem is, my own personal research tells me otherwise, coming from fence sitters I've talked to since then.

So why are you so insistent?

If you see the patched together part, it's not that bad, but way too mild and open minded for the audience. Now note that the patched version only takes like a minute.

the other 10 or 11 minutes was filled with er, ahh, uh, and just rambling.

Clint made a huge fool out of himself. He is unaware of what is causing the very issues he speaks of. He is uninformed. He chose to come out for the repiglican party, unaware that they have become the party that wants to kill 80% of this country.

He will go down in history being remembered for this more than all of his movies. He fucked up and he is getting what he deserves.

that he likely had almost all of the NRA. I wonder if when Romney's comment that he was ok with this after it happened is better known, there might be a loss of the very suburban women his entire convention fought to win.

Eastwood's "comedy" was near the depths of the delegates in 2004 wearing purple heart bandaids - it showed a complete lac of respect that most would expect. (The reaction of the delegates should show how hateful they are towards the President.)
