Ghislaine Maxwell, long-time consort of Jeffrey Epstein and the alleged procurer of victims in his underage sex trafficking ring, has been laying low in a New England beach town, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

Maxwell, 57, is in a relationship with Scott Borgerson, 43, and has been living with him at his secluded oceanfront property at the end of a long private road in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts.

The British socialite has been loath to leave the $3 million mansion, a source told DailyMail.com amid heightened focus on Epstein's alleged co-conspirators following the convicted pedophile's apparent suicide on Saturday.

'She's become a real homebody, rarely ventures out. She's the antithesis of the woman who traveled extensively and partied constantly with Epstein,' said a source familiar with Maxwell's new life.

Most of the country -- well, the vast empty rural parts -- does not suffer from this. A number of years ago we had a good old DU fight about somebody sinking $350,000 into a fancy house & associated property. Can't even remember the context or why the owner was notorious, only the disbelief of those who live on cheap land that anyone could have bought such a mansion -- a castle, even -- etc etc etc. Even then, in my piece of the West Coast you could hardly buy a modest condo for that, or even a spot in a well-maintained mobile home park. I forebore to tell them what the inflation on our modest 4 BR 2 BA 1600 sq ft tract house had done, but our neighborhood averages had shot well past $700,000 at that point.

$3 M could get you something pretty darn fancy all right, but in Realtor-speak, "secluded waterfront" -- really depends.

Anyhow, I hope sweet Ghislaine, procurer and pimp, gets scooped up soon. And that she doesn't have any accidents or fatal attacks of remorse along the way.
