.
Property ownership is one of the cornerstones of Western society, which is something Native Americans do not subscribe to, and this country has been trying to force that property ownership belief on their culture for over a century.
Deeds are generally tightly regulated throughout the millennia and are one of the more closely protected documents.
That said, Sovereign Citizens and Squatters are stealing people's property, and the onus is on the legitimate property owner to spend tens of thousands of dollars to remedy the situation. Many of these folks will search out obituaries to find homes that they can steal or squat in, some will be so bold as to notice someone going on vacation and stealing their homes while they are briefly on holiday.
This is a pervasive issue in our real estate culture and could impact virtually anyone.
