(2,198 posts)it out of the park? not even any quotes from our friends at MSNBC. I refused to watch so I can;t really say. But the silence from DU is not usual. Did Clint really steal the night or are we the only ones saying that?

(39,167 posts)...just fed a list of comments from supporters and talky talkers about Romney's speech. The descriptors being: "adequate", "workmanlike", "competent" and "Romney gets it done".
As much as Joe and the kids are trying to play it up, ultimately, Romney's speech as a whole lotta meh.

(9,385 posts)Romney was a nothing-burger. No big gaffes, nothing great to knock down, just did it by the numbers. There will be lies to clean up etc., but nothing even energizing about that.
On the other hand, I had major fun following the Eastwood twitter feeds last night -- that was hilarious and went on quite a while.
Mainly I couldn't believe the incompetence of letting that train wreck happen. That, was astounding. And Eastwood was unforgettably weird. In addition the R's timed it very badly, having Eastwood on at the beginning of their very limited one hour of prime time. It threw the rest of the hour WAY OFF. It was a very big deal. Even Joe Scab said so.
