1. i credit the guy with going back to school

but no one is hiring overqualified 74 year olds.

it is unfathomable that his wife can't get the cancer treatments. maybe if they sell their house and trade for a cheaper car she might qualify for Medicaid? then, after 6 months of waiting and an atty fee she might be able to afford chemotherapy.

2. Wish he'd check with Medicaid. If his wife is over 65, she has Medicare. Medicaid will will often

cover the coinsurance and deductibles for low income Medicare beneficiaries.

While I admire the him heck out of him, for several reasons, his pay isn't going to cover much cancer treatment.

In any event, hope it works out for them.
