Eugene Robinson: Trump's "foreign policy" is "an abdication of the U.S. position in the world"

Sound bite on MSNBC, so no link.

Eugene said that Trump doesn't understand relationships, doesn't care about them, and that his approach to foreign relations is an abdication of the U.S. position in the world.

He's one of a small handful of journalists who consistently boils everything down to the bare essence, a king of the 25 words or less method of cutting through the BS and rhetoric. One of my favorites.

I always read his columns and I stay tuned in if he's on a cable news panel (even if the host is annoying, e.g., Matthews or Todd). As usual, he's 100% right about Trump's foreign policy, if you can even call it a policy.

And that's dangerous because his brain is not exactly firing on all cylinders.

They can rein him in at any time, but except for occasional grumbles (which fall silent within 48 hrs) nobody with any real power in their party says boo about it.
