It wont hurt him a bit, but it could devastate the area.
Im sure hes insured. These posts are no better than Falwell wising destruction on San Francisco.

(21,829 posts)Usually, when they move NW like that from the leewards, they continue NW, hit the Outer Banks, bend north and north east and run up the east coast. Not this one. It moves into open ocean from the leewards, then bends back west towards FL. Wonder if that has anything to do with that cold front that's sagging down across the south east. Also somewhat unusual, as my old stomping grounds are normally still sweltering under the Bermuda high this time of year.

But for the rest of us who live nearby, it's hell.
I'm an hour north of PB and I can tell you - hurricanes are no picnic.
So yeah I get it - we all hate the orange bastard, but a hurricane isn't going matter a bit to him other than to give him another opportunity to show how heartless he is. For everyone else in the path of this increasingly horrendous storm, it's another story.
