Looked through the programs - Michelle Malkin Investigates, Huckabee.
Tuned in to Howie Carr show - on the phone was Kellyanne Conway.

(108,777 posts)If you want to get a glimpse of what state run TV would look like under the Trump administration, check out OANN. It's so far to the right that it is scary.

(82,849 posts)You'd think that Congress would make cable access a cafeteria-style utility. For flat $20 a month, you get the broadcast stations in your area. Everything above that is available for a monthly charge, ranging from (say) a dime to five bucks. If you don't want ESPN (for example), you don't have to have ESPN, and you don't pay for ESPN. You want a "premium" channel, you pay a premium monthly charge.
Instead, we have all these "packages" that include dozens of channels customers don't want, but that customers have no option to refuse. This isn't the way most businesses operate. You don't have "required" groceries that you have to pay for whether you want them or not at the store. If you don't want power seat warmers on your new car, you don't have to pay for them anyway. Why does cable have to be this way?

(6,309 posts)....which I have, I'm sure that most if not all cable and satellite services offer an option akin to a favorites list, or the choice to add or delete a channel from your package lineup. That's how I got rid of all the religious, and QVC type channels. Suddenlink added newsmax to my package, and 2 minutes later it's like they didn't.

(40,689 posts)You can get most television "a la carte" on the internet. That way none of your money goes to Newsmax, Fox News, etc.
My wife and I only subscribe to Netflix. It's $8.99 a month. We get our internet over the phone lines, not cable.
We don't watch any "traditional" television at all. Other than Netflix we watch DVDs we rent. I also find DVDs in thrift stores.
That's plenty of television for us and we never see any commercials.
Our adult children are similarly disconnected from traditional television in their own homes. I don't know what services they subscribe to beyond Netflix.
As many have noted here on DU once you quit traditional television you never go back.
I've never had any regrets about quitting Comcast.
