Teen Accused of Killing Family Just Learned About Stepmom
Relative says the 14-year-old just found out Mary Sisk wasn't his biological mom
The Alabama teen accused of killing his five family members in Elkmont on Monday had been exhibiting some worrisome behavior, says his cousin in an interview with WAFF. Daisy McCarty is the niece of the boy's father, John Sisk, who was murdered along with his wife Mary and his three other children, ages 6, 5, and six months. She says her uncle and his wife told her they had been having issues with the teen for nearly a year; she described the boy as having burned live animals and broken into his school. She didn't feel like the parents took action: "I think they didnt talk to him enough to know what was really going on with him."
As far as his parents go, Mary Sisk was his stepmom, not his biological mom, a fact McCarty says the boy only learned last week. "He didn't know any different of who his mom was," she explains. "His biological mom was Karina. And they just recently told him, and I think that's really what triggered the little boy, to be honest with you." (Cops say the teen used an illegal handgun in the killings.)
