That map didn't even show land fall on FL because it was beyond the limit of the prediction models. Living in an area of GA that got impacted by Michael, seeing a path that headed straight at FL made us pay more attention to Dorian and keep up with the forecasts, but not start any preparations. By the time it developed beyond a TS, it was clear that it would stay on the Atlantic side.

With hourly updates, there is no reason he could say AL was at risk unless he is a brain dead shit gibbon, but I repeat myself.

The last model that showed a potential impact to Alabama had been issued four days before his "warning", raising the question of whether he just wasn't being briefed (or didn't want to be).
