I was feeling really let down when the NOAA statement came out...it was worse than the normal ass kissing bullshit we hear about. Jesus if we can’t trust our scientists, we are in huge trouble, right? There’s something about this, however, that isn’t going away....who knew it would be a friggin’ magic marker stunt that would cause so much chaos for the MF.

Even if it were someone with the title(s), they would likely have been previously exposed as a fraud anyway. It's all about believing something and accepting without proof. Because I was abused with religion when I was young, I came to a philosophy of my own that keeps me sane. Goes like this: I believe in nothing. No religious deities or philosophies. I do, however, know a great deal, understand more than I know and am willing to consider anything else whether I agree or not.

Our system of justice is based on belief rather than truth and is often biased toward the victim creating a desire to be seen as the victim regardless of the truth. I hope that is something that will change during this time of exponential social shift we are swirling into.

Moron keeps poking at it.

If he had just STFU about "Alabama" or at most had a press release issued about "Early in Dorian's development, some projections could have included the Gulf Coast states blah, blah, blah."

It would have been a one day wonder, then disappeared. But noooo, Moron got out a made up map and THE SHARPIE. Game On, Baby! You do not do comedians and satirists work for them.

And they're still at it. Amateurs assemble.

Still waiting for the documentation supporting this claim. You know, maps, videos, analysis, etc. Not holding my breath.

whoever that turns out to be, should be to fire every single Trump appointee. Every damn one of them, immediately. They clean out their desks and leave the premises by COB on Jan. 21, 2020. And the very first one whose fat ass is out the door is Bill Barr.

This cannot be said enough. Trump is a nightmare, but his appointees are silently destroying our government agencies from within. If he is allowed to continue, our system of government will be nothing but a dysfunctional, hollow shell due to the people he placed in those agencies only to destroy them.

Director of Communications | $128,000 | Financial Disclosure »

Bio, via LinkedIn:

In August 2017, I was named the Director of Communications for NOAA. My experience in emergency management and crisis communications provides me with the background to carry out this new challenging but exciting job. As people have reminded me NOAA's mission includes from the bottom of the oceans to the surface of the sun. In the first month on the job I've witnessed an eclipse, handled two major hurricanes, a geomagnetic storm, fires in the West, and a few fish stories to round out the month. I look forward to where this new job will take me and the people I will meet along the way. I have over fifteen years professional experience including emergency management, scheduling, event management, international trade, and government relations. My experience in building public-private partnerships includes state and federal government and the private sector. In June 2016, I coordinated a partnership between the Florida Division of Emergency Management, Jet Blue, Airbnb, and Uber to provide resources to the victims and families of the Orlando Shooting Event. For four years I worked in emergency management where my focus was on building a culture of preparedness for families, business and families with special needs. Kids Get a Plan focuses on education children and their families on how to prepare for disasters. I worked with the private sector to build a statewide re-entry program for the private sector after a disaster. The more people prepare for a disaster the less government will need to provide. I spend my free time volunteering to help others including multiple mission trips to Ethiopia, volunteering through the Junior League of Tallahassee, and serving as an Advisor to the Zeta Tau Alpha Chapter at Florida State University for nine years. It is our responsibility to find ways to give back to people to make this a better world.

NOAA staff warned in Sept. 1 directive against contradicting Trump

By Andrew Freedman, Colby Itkowitz and Jason Samenow
September 7 at 8:16 PM

<...>

The official said agency leadership had considered making a statement for “a day or two” to clear up confusion. Acting NOAA administrator Neil Jacobs was involved in drawing up the statement as was the NOAA director of public affairs, Julie Kay Roberts, who has experience in emergency management and worked on the president’s campaign.

The leadership of the Commerce Department, headed by Secretary Wilbur Ross, also approved the release, though Ross was out of the country at the time.
