But with Romney something new was added. Unlike those 2, Mitt was blatantly, in-your-face rich. It seemed to be his defining characteristic.

Plus he treated the nomination as his right.

And why should HE disclose his tax returns?!?

Trunp followed a pre-laid path---'Hey, if ol' Mitt can do it, any billionaire can!'

1. Mitt Romney isn't a billonaire

"Only" $250 million. That's still 5 times more than Hillary (at @45m), but a pretty long way from a billion.

Trump brought things to new levels, but the Presidency has always been the playground of the 0.01% (with just a few exceptions)
