16. I went to vote and was greeted by a toothless man wearing a Dan Bishop t-shirt in the parking lot.

He was startled because he didn’t see my car at first.

When he turned around, I assured him I wouldn’t run him over, being friendly as we all are in this state. He grinned his toothless grin and made some funny reply that he knew I wouldn’t do that.

Then I noticed his MAGA hat. I told him, “Well, if I’d seen your hat, I might have considered it.” I said it with a smile (still friendly). He looked taken aback, but laughed.

Then he tried to hand me a Bishop pamphlet. I smiled again, put my hand up, and said, “No hon, I’m a McCready voter.” He stopped grinning then and off he went.

Then I voted. The precinct workers told me they were having a great turnout. So fingers crossed!
