What happens to the human body in space?

Space is a dangerous, unfriendly place not particularly suited for human life, yet astronauts are sent to the International Space Station every year. From exposure to high levels of radiation to surviving in microgravity conditions, space can be a tough place to live. Here’s what living in space does to the human body.

but that sounds too close to a compliment.

He is Pennydumb the orange clown, with wisps of corn straw hair and a funny long tie.

"Endurance". It's a fascinating read if you are interested in what it's like training to be an astronaut and what it's like being up in space.

The human body is simply too fragile and limited for interstellar space travel. We'll have long had the technology to send our spacecraft to other solar systems before we've developed a system to make the human body capable of withstanding space travel a fraction of the distance needed to accompany those spacecraft.

However, the conscious AIs that we create to replace us will explore it all and will carry our civilization to the stars.

Those folks are never in space -- they're in various sized bubbles keeping space a (relatively) safe distance away.

Let's launch Dirty Donnie TrumPutin into space without a protective bubble and measure the real effects of space on the human body. (Presuming he's human, just for the experiment).
