So what's the DU consensus on the whistleblower's name?
I haven't been here as much lately and so likely missed some really great threads on this, but I'm dyin' to know.
I think it could be Dan Coats. Is that what most of us think?

5. Dan Coats is a great pick, except I'm nervous about the fact Trump
said the whistleblower was a "partisan" meaning Democrat. Other names that have been tossed out there are Sue Gordon and John Bolton.
I still lean towards Dan Coats, and place that within the context of how badly he seemed to want to get Sue Gordon out of there, as if to protect her. EDIT: Shit, I've been misspelling Dan Coats name for two days! |

7. he also said he didn't know who it was...........
he just said it was a "partisan" person because that's how he talks. Doesn't matter if it was karl marx or ronald reagan, he just says it was "partisan" and the media goes "oh, well then i guess it is just an angry democrat".

8. He called Republican Mueller partisan, and the IC, which pretty strongly leans Republican,
partisan, too, so the label just means that he hates anyone who doesn't 100% submit to his "authoriteh."

11. I think him or her will have to come out in
order to protect themself. It is obcious Trump and Barr will do whatever they can to bury the whole thing and the wistleblower.

13. It can't be Bolton because the report was made while he was still on board
The whistleblower's report was made back in July, I think. Bolton still brown-nosing back then. Whoever wrote the report had a high security clearance and good understanding of how the intelligence community would proceed with it. It sure looks like Dan Coats or Sue Gordon, or maybe it was somebody who's already retired.
