Oh my, what a roller coaster! I don’t think I have ever seen such a tightly fought competition as this one. At one point in the voting we had 5 pictures in joint first place which tells me that all the marvellous DUers who voted really struggled to pick an out an out favourite because the standard of entries was so bloody high! Still we got there in the end!

Can I thank everyone who participated, who voted and who kicked so as many DUers as possible could see the wonders that the competitors produced.

I will humbly defer to Diedinwoollineral as the next summer seasonal contest host.

19. Nice job. I voted for the sunset one because the compsition was interesting as well as the sunset.

The bird shot was good, but it didn't seem that unique to me.

I wish I could have zoomed in on some of the pictures to help make my decision. Maybe there can be links to full versions next time if there weren't.
